The Spin

Anti-Iran narrative

American forces likely struck a legitimate military target — an IRGC compound used for training and operations near the Strait of Hormuz. The school building, which had previously served as an IRGC headquarters, sat within a base housing naval facilities and training centers for Guard members, making it a valid strategic objective. While civilian casualties are always tragic, the U.S. would never target them on purpose, as Iran has done across the region.

Pro-Iran narrative

The barbaric American-Israeli aggression deliberately targeted innocent civilians, murdering over 160 people, including 50 schoolchildren aged six to 12 at an elementary school. These heinous crimes against educational centers, hospitals and residential areas — killing infants as young as four months old and injuring over 2,000 civilians — represent clear violations of humanitarian law that demand international condemnation and action.
