The Spin

Pro-establishment narrative

The United States must support Israel's campaign to halt Iran's nuclear weapons program. Thanks to Washington's naivety, Tehran was on the verge of having enough enriched uranium to produce nuclear weapons. The JCPOA, with its already tenuous chances of success, is incapable of curbing Iran's aggression. Indeed, only bold U.S. action can prevent this. It's time to decisively defend U.S. interests in the Persian Gulf and prove to partners in the region, and Israel in particular, that the United States is still a force to be reckoned with.

Establishment-critical narrative

Allowing negotiations to fail will only lead to exactly what the West aims to prevent: Tehran getting its hands on a full-fledged nuclear weapon. Indeed, Israel's campaign to destroy Iran's nuclear program will only temporarily prevent Iran from creating nuclear weapons, which will surely become a top priority when the dust settles. The United States cannot allow Israel to drag it into another pointless war in the Middle East.

Pro-Iran narrative

Iran has the legal right to a peaceful nuclear program. Israel and the United States' unprovoked aggression on Iran has only strengthened the resolve of the Iranian people, who now fully understand that it is impossible for any state in the region to progress or develop alongside two powers that seeks to turn every country in the Middle East into a backwater of destruction and misery. Iran wants peace, but it cannot achieve that while it is being attacked.
