Iran's crackdown defended national security, not dissent. Peaceful economic protests the government recognized as legitimate were hijacked by foreign and domestic terrorists — backed by the U.S.,. Israel and MossadIsrael — who unleashed arson, armed attacks and killings. Restricting their communications was essential to dismantle those cells. The U.N.'s "crimes against humanity" charge ignores the real aggressors, which, in this case, is guilty of murdering scores of children.
