The Spin

Dropping Tomahawks on a clearly marked primary school and scattering tungsten pellets over a sports complex killed 178 civilians, including about 120 children, and that is a war crime. Recklessness about civilian lives is not an accident, and the victims' families deserve full reparations and a guarantee it never happens again. Iran's brutal repression of its own people does not excuse a single one of those deaths.

The UN Human Rights Council, stacked with authoritarian regimes like China and Cuba, has accomplished nothing for human rights while lecturing the only country actually confronting the world's top sponsor of terror. The regime that murdered thousands of its own citizens, executed protesters and attacked its neighbors is the real war criminal here. Stopping Iran from getting a nuclear weapon makes the whole world safer.
