Ramping up missile production now is an admission that six months of war with Iran burned through roughly two-thirds of Patriot interceptor stockpiles, and pre-war levels won't be restored until mid-to-late 2029. These framework deals depend on annual congressional appropriations, meaning there's no guarantee the money actually flows. Dwindling reserves also leave the U.S. dangerously exposed.
