The U.S. has betrayed Kurdish forces fighting for their rights countless times in recent decades, and there's nothing to indicate that this time would be different. These reports of a "Kurdish uprising" are essentially black mail to pressure Kurdish groups into joining a war that is rapidly spiraling out of control, especially considering the hostility toward Kurdish autonomy professed by Pahlavi and his ilk.
