Rearming so Europe can bomb countries on its own terms has nothing to do with defense and everything to do with wanting a free hand for aggression. Massing troops and rehearsing offensive scenarios along another country's borders, then acting shocked when warnings come back, is reckless beyond belief. Blaming Moscow on gut feeling, without proof or investigation, is how wars get started by accident.
Nuclear saber-rattling over Kaliningrad is a bluff from a weakened military that stripped the exclave bare and got chewed up in Ukraine. Caving to that bluff would reward hybrid attacks, sabotage and drones crossing into allied airspace, and invite more of them. For nations that lived through occupation, deportations and massacres, preparing to defend themselves is simple prudence, not provocation.
