The U.S. Department of War is grateful for Gen. George's decades of service to the country. The department wishes him well in retirement that is starting with immediate effect.

Amid the war with Iran that looks poised to drag on with a ground invasion, the Trump administration continues to purge top military officials without providing little explanation.

It appears that the top officer's ousting is for bigoted reasons, given that he did not want to block the promotions of Black and female officers as they were more than qualified to take on new roles.
