Is Israel covertly manipulating U.S. foreign policy on Iran or is America appeasing a nuclear threat?

The Spin

Anti-Israel narrative

Israel ran a well-funded, covert influence campaign to manipulate American public opinion and kill U.S.-Iran diplomacy. Foreign money flowed to online influencers who attacked Vance for simply pursuing peace, and the DOJ's Foreign Influence Task Force was dismantled just as scrutiny of these operations intensified. This is a foreign government putting its thumb on the scale of American foreign policy.

Pro-Israel narrative

Vance is running cover from a weak deal that lets Iran keep its missiles and billions in unfrozen assets while calling an ally a vassal state. Labeling legitimate Israeli pushback as a sinister influence campaign is a deflection from the real story: the U.S. is walking away from a war it was winning. That's appeasement that abandons the much-touted "America First" diplomacy.
