The Spin

Pro-government narrative

The Reuters article published on Tuesday could not be more erroneous. Rather than a hindrance, the DOW's relationship with SpaceX is one of close, effective collaboration. Through its services, SpaceX equips the U.S. military with some of the best hardware and systems on the planet, making it a highly valued partner.

Government-critical narrative

This conflict has not only exposed the U.S. military's inability to prosecute a cost-effective war, but now, thanks to Reuters, Musk's avarice. Leveraging the Pentagon's total dependence on its services, SpaceX has shamelessly demanded that the DOW cough up five times the amount to use its services, leaving taxpayers to foot the bill.
