Russia's hybrid war on Europe is no minor nuisance; explosive drones near NATO logistics hubs, severed Baltic cables and cyberattacks are part of a deliberate campaign to fracture the alliance. Moscow keeps probing because the costs have been negligible, and that has to change fast. NATO needs layered counter-drone defenses, faster intelligence sharing and the authority to respond to Russian aggression without waiting on approval from distant capitals.

Pro-Russia narrative

Russia has no intention of attacking Europe and has repeatedly said so. Rather, it is the West that launched this confrontation by expanding NATO eastward and weaponizing Ukraine against Russia. The so-called hybrid threat narrative is a cover for a broader Western campaign to isolate and weaken Russia while tightening Washington's grip on European allies. The real aggression is a rules-based order designed to punish any nation that refuses to submit.
