The situation is being managed, and the alarmist framing around it looks a lot like a coordinated effort to destabilize Spain's government. Meloni's push to suspend Schengen and Trump's travel warnings dropped the same day, and that's no coincidence.

Government-critical narrative

Morocco stopping a few hundred people doesn't mean the pressure on Ceuta is anywhere close to over — thousands are still massing at one of Europe's only land borders with Africa. Weak border governance invites repeat attempts, and the pattern is clear after tens of thousands stormed through in a single surge. A border that requires constant crisis management isn't a secure border.
