Foreign meddling in the Brazilian election is a real and growing danger. The playbook is already visible: Trump has classified two powerful Brazil-based criminal organizations as terrorists, neighboring far-right leaders have endorsed Bolsonaro, financial support tied to electoral outcomes and veiled threats of military action. Brazilian sovereignty and electoral integrity deserve a serious, organized defense.

Government-critical narrative

Suddenly sovereignty matters, but only when the other side asks for help abroad. For years the Brazilian left courted foreign governments and global NGOs to pressure and isolate a sitting conservative president and called it defending democracy. Now the same conduct by the opposition gets branded treason and is even landing people in prison. That double standard is the real scandal.
