The Spin

Left narrative

An innocent mother and five kids — including 5-year-old twins — have been locked up for months in a Texas detention facility for something they had absolutely no part in. The FBI found zero evidence of involvement, yet the Trump administration keeps them caged while a 16-year-old loses 20 pounds and a toddler suffers untreated dental pain. Punishing children for a parent's crimes is a betrayal of basic American legal principles.

Right narrative

The family of a man who firebombed a pro-Israel rally, killing an 82-year-old woman, were in the U.S. illegally and were rightfully placed in ICE custody for removal proceedings. A federal court dismissed the lawsuit seeking their release, confirming there was no legal basis to block deportation. Releasing people who entered illegally — regardless of family ties — undermines the rule of law and sends the wrong message about accountability.
