The Sudanese Armed Forces do not deliberately target civilians; it is the RSF that has repeatedly terrorized communities across the country. The militia’s drone strike on a kindergarten in Kalogi killed 33 children and at least 50 people in total, then deliberately targeted paramedics treating survivors in a flagrant violation of international law. This attack reflects a broader pattern of RSF atrocities, including executions, rapes and mass killings across Sudan, most recently in El-Fasher, where thousands are feared dead.
