An EU-Canada tie-up is a hot-air balloon of a pact — associate membership doesn't even exist, 10 member states still refuse to ratify the existing trade deal and NATO already links these countries on defense. Britain shouldn't chase that nostalgia by handing Parliament back to Brussels, where unelected officials police speech, enforce Net Zero and dictate borders. CPTPP, the Commonwealth and CANZUK are the real prize.
