In his nightly address on Sunday, Ukrainian Pres. Volodymyr Zelenskyy vowed retaliation after Russian artillery shelling in the Kherson region killed seven civilians and injured 13 more.
Among those killed, according to Ukraine's ministry of internal affairs, was a newborn baby girl, her 12-year-old brother, and both their parents. They were reportedly killed, alongside another resident, in the village of Shiroka Balka. Two further deaths came in the neighboring village of Stanislav.
Russia is continuing its murderous assault on Ukraine's civilians, now wiping out an entire family in Kherson. Ukraine will not let these crimes go unpunished for a single day — Kyiv will continue to attack Russian forces until they're completely expelled from Ukrainian territory.
Russia has repeatedly said that it does not target civilians. All strikes are directed at military targets, including military warehouses, fuel depots and training facilities.
