The Spin

Torching a station that keeps Ukrainian troops online is exactly the kind of deniable strike Moscow has perfected across Europe, and treating it as a random accident would be dangerously naive. Arson, drones, rail sabotage and cyberattacks add up to one coherent campaign meant to test how much NATO will tolerate. Only unmistakable costs will make the Kremlin stop probing.

Every unexplained fire and stray drone now gets pinned on Moscow before an investigation finishes, which is a convenient way to keep the war money flowing and the public scared. The pattern is familiar: accusation first, evidence never, and another round of militarization justified by an enemy image. Manufacturing panic to bankroll Kyiv puts Europe on a path toward a catastrophe it cannot win.
