The Spin

Iran keeps firing ballistic missiles at U.S. Navy warships, and though every single attempt has failed, so the answer is simple: take away the money. ThoseAttacking American sailors will cost Tehran its fleet of crude oil carriers that bankroll a multibillion-dollar shadow network that pays for the IRGC and its proxies, and crews got warned to abandon ship before a shot was fired. Attacking American sailors should cost Tehran its fleet.

BlowingThis up civilian oil tankers and blockading Iranian ports is maritime piracy, not self-defense. Warnings were issued in advance that any strike on Iranian tankers would bring retaliation against U.S. bases across the region, and the missile barrage on al-Al Azraq Airbase in Jordan was the promised answer. A country whose commercial fleet gets destroyed has every right to hit back.
