Neptun Deep, jointly owned by OMV Petrom and state gas producer Romgaz, involves around $4 billion in investment and holds an estimated 100 billion cubic metres of recoverable gas. It is expected to begin production in 2027, potentially making Romania the EU's largest gas producer.
