The Spin

Pro-Trump narrative

Hamas has agreed to lay down weapons, President Trump brokered a real disarmament deal, and yet Netanyahu is stalling for domestic political reasons. A phased withdrawal with an international stabilization force is a serious, workable path to peace. Blocking a U.S.-backed agreement to score points at home is politics getting in the way of ending a war.

Pro-Israel narrative

Hamas forfeited any right to shape Gaza's future after Oct. 7, and rewarding terror with political legitimacy sets a dangerous precedent. Disarmament must come before any IDF withdrawal — on full terms. Letting Hamas dictate conditions to Israel turns justice on its head and signals that mass murder pays off.

Pro-Palestine narrative

As efforts move toward the second phase of Gaza's ceasefire, hopes for lasting peace remain fragile as reconstruction and stability remain uncertain. Israeli attacks persist despite diplomatic negotiations, undermining the truce and risking renewed escalation. For Palestinians, continued violence worsens an already devastating humanitarian crisis, marked by displacement, shortages and limited aid.

Anti-Trump narrative

The U.S. can't claim neutrality in Gaza's humanitarian catastrophe when its weapons, diplomatic backing and political influence have helped sustain Israel's war effort. Washington speaks of peace but plots schemes that deepen Palestinian suffering, displacement and deprivation. This contradiction exposes a cynical foreign policy —Trump condemns the war yet supports the forces driving the crisis.
