Human-induced climate change has made Canada's extreme wildfire seasons drastically worse and more frequent. Fire weather conditions in Ontario became roughly 3.5 times more likely due to 1.4°C of global warming, and Indigenous communities face repeated displacement with no time to recover between disasters. Burning more fossil fuels guarantees even deadlier fire seasons ahead.
