The US-Saudi strikes on Iraq are just more proof that Washington's military strategy is backfiring — Iran's IRGC still controls the Strait of Hormuz, oil prices are spiking, and depleted US munition stockpiles mean the Pentagon is rationing interceptors. Bombing logistics sites in eastern Iraq doesn't fix a war the US started and can't finish. The region is less stable now than before the February attacks.

The US-Saudi joint strikes on July 28 were a direct, justified response to over 30 IRGC-directed drone attacks in 72 hours and more than 600 attempted attacks on US citizens and facilities since February. Iran-aligned militias hit Saudi energy infrastructure and launched ballistic missiles at a US base in Jordan — that demands a strong military answer. Precision strikes on terrorist logistics sites are exactly the right move.
