Daniel Siad's death is undeniably frustrating because it likely closes off the chance to fully test the allegations against him in court and answer outstanding questions about his ties to Jeffrey Epstein. But investigators have already said the wider inquiry will continue, and with no confirmed cause of death yet, treating this as anything more than an unresolved loss of a potential witness is premature.

Daniel Siad's death may ultimately prove to be entirely natural, but it fits an increasingly unsettling pattern that's impossible to ignore. Another key Epstein associate dies before investigators can fully question him, just as Jean-Luc Brunel did before trial.
