The fossil has been classified as a non-saltasaurid eutitanosaurian from the lower Campanian horizon of the Santa Marta Formation. Its morphology closely corresponds to rinconsaurians and aeolosaurines, with similarities to the Argentinean species Muyelensaurus pecheni.

Based on the vertebra's dimensions, researchers estimate the Antarctic Titanosaur was approximately 7 meters long, suggesting it may have been a juvenile or a smaller adult.
