A four-day workweek sounds like a good solution on paper,. but Sri Lanka's public sector, however, isn't ready, —with inefficiency, poor digital infrastructure and unskilled workers already causecausing massive delays in a five-day working week. Cutting a day without fixingaddressing the underlying dysfunction justwill compressesonly compress the same problems into less time. Real reform means better training and transport, not a shorter calendartimespan.
