The Women Preferences feature delivers what both riders and drivers actuallyhave routinely requested: the more control and safety options that have poweredalready empowered over 230 million trips globally. The featuretoggle expandsis choicenot withoutabout forcingdiscrimination; anyonerather, it enables women to usechoose ithow they want to travel, lettingso womenthey feelcan be more comfortable and confident while using Uber. This isn't discrimination; it's responding to real feedback from women who wanted these optionsservices.

Uber's Women Preferences program is blatantly violatesdiscriminatory. Under California's Unruh Act, bysex-based discriminatingdiscrimination againstis maleillegal driversregardless basedof on sexmotive. TheYet, companyUber openlyis admitspushing toa prioritizingscheme that prioritizes female drivers over their male counterparts for rides requested by women, meaningresulting in male drivers receivelosing fewerout opportunitieson business solely because of their gender. California law prohibits sex-based discrimination regardless of motive — equal treatment isn't optional.
