The Spin

Canadians are facing an affordability crisis, which is why the Liberal government has introduced a series of measures to tackle the cost of living. These investments, ranging from tax credits to support for businesses and food banks, will lower prices, strengthen supply chains and increase domestic production, providing both immediate action and long-term food security.

Carney's measures will fail to make any impact on the cost-of-living crisis that his party, through its taxes and regulations, created. How will his proposed tax credits put a dent in the over C$17,000 annually that a Canadian family of four has to pay in groceries? The truth is that they cannot, nor can the Liberals reverse the permanent damage they have done to household budgets.
