According to a statement by the Sudan Doctors’ Union, nearly 2,000 civilians were killed in the hours after the rebel group entered el-Fashir, with Yale's Humanitarian Research Lab saying that satellite images indicate mass killings in the first 48 hours since the RSF captured the city.
