Trump wrote he "long ago" expressed his desire to see iPhones produced domestically to Apple’s chief executive Tim Cook, calling for a 25% tariff if that does not come to fruition. Apple has been planning to expand its iPhone supply chain in India, where the phones are produced alongside China.
