Georgia’s opposition disputes result of crucial vote which could decide the country’s role in Europe

That Georgian Dream may emerge as the winner is indeed an issue that the opposition should feel disappointed. However, given all elections violations reported and that the ruling party is likely not to secure a constitutional majority, the opposition can celebrate its own survival.
Western powers sought to interfere in this election, but to no avail. The people of Georgia delivered a decisive and clear message of support to, asand well as a clear mandate for, a party that supports conservative values and, contrary to the smear campaigns, integration to Europe.
There's a 10% chance that Georgia will be part of the European Union in 2050, according to the Metaculus prediction community.
