US law enforcement agencies said on Wednesday that Iranian hackers stolen material from former President Donald Trump's campaign and send it via email to Democratic President Joe Biden's re-election campaign, before it was suspended.
In a joint statement, the FBI, Cybersecurity, and Infrastructure Security Agency, and Office of the Director of National Intelligence said that Iranian cyber attackers had sent unsolicited emails to people associated with President Biden’s campaign, with stolen, non-public material from the Trump campaign.
The agencies stated that there was no evidence that the recipients responded or acted on these emails.
