Iran trying to undercut Trump campaign and Russia doing opposite, U.S. officials indicate

Unnamed officials from the Office of the Director of National Intelligence (ODNI) and other intelligence bodies have warned that multiple foreign actors were taking advantage of recent events in the presidential race, such as the withdrawal of Pres. Biden and the attempted assassination of Donald Trump.
The officials asked Americans to remain vigilant with information they read online, claiming that actors such as Russia, Iran, and China were tailoring misinformation to appear as if it being produced by Americans with the hopes of being shared online.
In their briefing to the media, the officials said that Russia was likely to spread content in support of former Pres. Donald Trump, while Iran would seek to undermine his campaign. China lacks a clear preference for president, but may interfere in Congressional races.
