US Authorities Say Iran Plotted to Kill Trump, Not Linked to Shooter

  • A US national security official said Tuesday that the government was aware in recent weeks of an increased threat from Iran against the former Pres. Donald Trump. Officials added that the threat, of which Pres. Biden was aware, was not linked to the Jul. 13 assassination attempt.The US government, including the White House, has been on increased alert in recent weeks of Iranian threat against former Pres. Donald Trump, according to a national security official, who says that the threat is unrelated to the July 13 assassination attempt.
