Walter A. Orenstein

Walter A. Orenstein is a prominent vaccine expert who served as director of the U.S. Immunization Program at the CDC from 1988 to 2004, where he oversaw major vaccination initiatives including the elimination of measles transmission in the United States. He currently serves as Associate Director of the Emory Vaccine Center and Professor of Infectious Diseases at Emory University School of Medicine.
