Should xAI face long overdue regulation, or is it being singled out for rejecting woke culture?

The Spin

Left narrative

Elon Musk has let X and Grok normalize abuse for too long. Rolling out "spicy" AI video mode while deepfake victims beg for safeguards shows priorities skewed toward clicks, not consent. After antisemitic lapses, sexualized companions and documented nonconsensual lewd content, trust is gone. Laws exist for a reason, and regulators should force Musk to lock this down now before more people are hurt by his negligence.

Right narrative

Grok shouldn't be scapegoated while rivals escape scrutiny for far worse failures. ChatGPT has enabled violence and defamed real people. Compared to that, Grok's openness reflects a real commitment to free speech in an ecosystem where other AIs censor conservatives and push ideological filters. XAI should fix its safety gaps without fear of politicized punishment.
