The Spin

Pro-establishment narrative

China's bot farms and AI-driven disinformation machines are a genuine threat to Western democracies. Fake accounts, deepfakes, and state-backed content farms are flooding social media to stoke division and push Beijing's agenda. The Spamouflage network alone has targeted U.S. elections, Taiwan, and NATO allies, while AI tools now let the CCP run influence operations faster and cheaper than ever. It's time for the West to get serious in its defense against hybrid warfare.

Pro-China narrative

Framing Beijing as a cyber villain conveniently ignores America's own documented hacking of Chinese infrastructure and exposes Washington's blind hypocrisy. In reality, China is actively building serious regulatory guardrails against AI misuse, including mandatory labeling of AI-generated content and closed-loop enforcement mechanisms. Shouting the loudest and pointing the finger will not distract the world from the U.S.'s own trespasses.
