White House Pulls CNN From Trump Trip Pool Duty Again

Does this give independent media a chance to prove itself or is it unconstitutional press retaliation?

The Spin

Pro-Trump narrative

CNN's latest removal from the presidential pool opens the door for independent media to prove it can serve the public better. The old CNN-led model charged other outlets subscription fees for pool footage, while Real America's Voice is making its coverage available to media organization free online. If RAV can fill both pool roles without monetizing access, that's a win for competition and public access.

Anti-Trump narrative

Removing CNN from a designated pool role, days after a judge ordered its White House access restored, shows the Trump administration is still applying press restrictions unpredictably and unconstitutionally. With other networks refusing to replace CNN, the disruption affects fellow pool members and leaves the public without the shared presidential coverage the pool system is meant to provide.
