The Spin

Democratic narrative

Ordering federal officers to pose as voters and lie on state lookup portals just to raid voter records is lawbreaking. A 12-minute quota per person and data cooked up with "supplemental magic" guarantees naturalized citizens get branded unlawful voters and saddled with law enforcement files. This initiative must be shut down before it's used to smear the midterm results.

Republican narrative

Cross-referencing publicly available voter rolls against known noncitizens in federal systems is basic list maintenance. The entire uproar rests on one anonymous officer's claims, timed and packaged by Senate Democrats for maximum political effect six weeks before the midterms. Noncitizens who cast ballots should be found, charged and removed.
