The Spin

Pro-Trump narrative

A court nobody signed up for has no business hauling American troops and elected officials into the dock. Sovereignty means accountability runs through American courts and American voters, not unaccountable prosecutors an ocean away chasing power at the expense of the people who actually defend the free world. Cutting off the money is the only language a rogue institution understands.

Anti-Trump narrative

Punishing the one court built to hold war criminals accountable is a gift to every tyrant hoping to dodge justice, including the ones already wanted over Ukraine and Gaza. Sanctioning judges and staff for doing their jobs tells victims of atrocities that raw power outranks the law. The rule of law only survives when the states that built the court refuse to be bullied into abandoning it.
