Do voters want Lawler's proven moderate record or a non-politician like Conley?

The Spin

Republican narrative

Mike Lawler has repeatedly proven he can win where other Republicans can't, carrying a district with nearly 80,000 more registered Democrats than Republicans while earning bipartisan recognition for effectiveness. He fought his own party to quadruple the SALT deduction, delivered tax relief and local funding, and built a record of working across the aisle. Voters don't need another first-time candidate — they already have a representative with a proven record of delivering results.

Democratic narrative

This swing district needs new leadership, and Cait Conley is exactly the kind of fresh, non-politician voters are seeking. She's a decorated Army veteran who served six combat deployments and later protected the country on the National Security Council, while Lawler is a pseudo-moderate who's only job is to carry water for Trump. In a district that narrowly backed Kamala Harris, Conley offers voters an independent, service-first alternative focused on working families over party loyalty and special interests.
