The Spin

Pro-Ukraine narrative

Not only does Wildberries supply the Russian military with various pieces of equipment, making it a legitimate target for attacks, it's also a key player in the Russian economy. Attacks on its infrastructure serve to remind Russian people far from the front lines that they cannot escape the consequences of their country's invasion.

Pro-Russia narrative

Wildberries facilitates transactions between small businesses and consumers, mostly women between the ages of 20 and 40. As such, these attacks need to be called what they are: war crimes and terrorism. While they can have a devastating impact on small businesses, they have little overall impact on the Russian economy.
