The Spin

Pro-Palestine narrative

Wanting a homeland isn't racist, but building one by pushing another people off their land is. Zionism as actually practiced has meant expulsion and dispossession for Palestinians, and pretending otherwise just shields a brutal reality from honest scrutiny. Plenty of Jews reject that project, and treating criticism of it as hatred of Jews only silences a debate that is long overdue.

Pro-Israel narrative

Singling out the one Jewish state as uniquely illegitimate, while every other people's claim to self-determination is celebrated, is antisemitism. Demanding Jews renounce nationhood to pass a political purity test, then refusing even to protect members who attend the wrong synagogue, turns a party into a hostile place for Jews. Slogans like this save no lives abroad and only fuel hatred across Britain.
