The Spin

Left narrative

Jason Arday faced a relentless campaign of abuse and misinformation for over three years — far beyond any legitimate academic scrutiny — and his family made clear that harassment drove him to his breaking point. Liverpool John Moores University cleared him of wrongdoing, yet the public shaming never let up. The cruelty directed at him was disproportionate and racially motivated, and that can't be dismissed.

Right narrative

Real accountability isn't violence, and framing legitimate scrutiny of fabricated claims as harassment is a convenient way to shut down necessary institutional questions. The failure here belongs to the academic DEI regime that elevated Arday without proper vetting, using him as a showcase while ignoring red flags. Those institutions bear responsibility for placing an unqualified person into a position that was always going to collapse.
