Cuba is a genuine national security threat, hosting Russia's largest overseas signals intelligence facility and welcoming Hamas and Hezbollah to build regional influence. Given its active support for America's enemies, sanctioning the regime is a direct and necessary response that will exert exactly the kind of pressure needed to hold a hostile government accountable.

These sanctions are nothing more than collective punishment dressed up as foreign policy. No honest person buys the White House's claim that Cuba threatens the most powerful nation on earth. Rather, it is plain for all to see that these latest measures are a thug's attempt to coerce Cuba into doing America's bidding, in violation of international law.
