Are forced outing policies putting trans youth in danger or are schools violating parental rights by secretly transitioning children?

The Spin

Left narrative

By refusing to hear this case and the Ludlow case, SCOTUS is leaving school officials in a frustrating limbo and putting transgender youth at risk. A 2022 Trevor Project study found that fewer than one in three trans youth have accepting homes, and LGBTQ youth face a 120% higher risk of homelessness after coming out. Schools are one of the few safe spaces these kids have, and mandating disclosure strips that away.

Right narrative

By dodging these cases, SCOTUS is allowing parents' rights to be violated in situations where schools are secretly renaming and reassigning genders in children. No school should have the authority to socially transition a child behind parents' backs. It's critical for SCOTUS to rule in favor of parents, as it did in the California case, rather than duck and hide.
