Saudis Blame Houthis for Drone Strike Near Medina Mosque

Is this an attack on all Muslims, or a propaganda ploy by a regime bombing Yemen?

The Spin

Pro-establishment narrative

Sending a drone at the power supply of Islam's second holiest site is an assault on every Muslim on earth, not just on one Kingdom's borders. Hitting civilian infrastructure that keeps the lights on for worshippers and pilgrims shows a militia with zero regard for human life or sacred ground. Defending the Two Holy Mosques is a legitimate duty, and solidarity with Saudi Arabia is the only decent response.

Establishment-critical narrative

Pinning this on Yemen is a recycled propaganda trick from a regime that has bombed Yemeni homes, markets, bridges and farms for a decade. A government that treats guardianship of Mecca and Medina as a revenue stream while quietly courting regimes like Israel has no standing to lecture anyone about sanctity. Real protection of Islamic holy sites belongs with the righteous, not with those who shell villages and blame the victims.
