Companies like Flock Safety and Axon are weaving public and private surveillance feeds into systems with almost no meaningful oversight, and legislation like Bill C-22 hands authorities blanket access to everyone's metadata without probable cause. Crime is a real problem, but surrendering privacy to unaccountable tech platforms is a cure far worse than the disease.
