Add this to the list of reasons Paxton, who's currently a chief law enforcement officer, has no business writing the nation's laws. The pattern is impossible to miss: money flows in, friendly legal positions flow out and accountability never arrives. Texas deserves a senator whose resume doesn't read like a charging document.
Republican narrative
A 30-second balcony video and a rehash of decades-old scandals is the sort of desperation story that surfaces when a Democrat can't explain vanishing for nearly two weeks. The fact remains that Paxton will help advance the Trump agenda 100% of the time, and that beats a campaign built on distraction every time.
