The Spin

Left narrative

Police Chief Scott McElree violently attacked peaceful student protesters by charging into the crowd in plainclothes and putting a teenage girl in a chokehold. Students and bystanders witnessed him throwing punches at teenagers who were simply exercising their right to protest ICE. Thousands have already signed a petition demanding his resignation for this brutal assault on young people.

Right narrative

Students skipping class attacked officers and threw ice and snow at passing drivers, then beat the police chief when he tried to make arrests. These weren't peaceful protesters but aggressive kids undermining law enforcement and border security. The chief deserves support, not resignation calls, and every student involved — and their parents — should be held to account.
